The acting head of the Justice Department’s criminal division, Mythili Raman,
is planning to leave the department next month after 18 years as a federal prosecutor. Before assuming her current role, she served as the top deputy to criminal division head Lanny Breuer, putting her at the center of some of the most high-profile prosecutions of the last four years. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Ms. Raman discussed the impact of those enforcement actions, what still needs to be done and what the emerging issues are for prosecutors.
